Biography
Mirta Herrera

Born in Argentina, she studied piano at the Conservatorio Nacional of Buenos Aires.

Winner of the “Vincenzo Scaramuzza” Prize, she continued her studies in Rome at the “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia “ with Carlo Zecchi and at the “Centro Internazionale di Studi Musicali” with Fausto Zadra.

As a scholarship holder of the German government she attended Gunter Ludwig’s classes at the Musikhochschule in Cologne, where she graduated with distinction and obtained the “License de Concert” from the Conservatory of Lausanne (Switzerland), where she worked for several years.

She currently lives in Rome; former teacher at the Conservatory, she gives “peformance” classes in Europe, South America and North America.

In addition to recitals as a soloist, she is dedicated to chamber music in different formations : Duo Kreutzer (violin and piano), Duo latinoamericano di Roma (Tenor and piano), Madre Tierra (piano, tenor, soprano, percussion and dancers)
Her concert and teaching activities take place around Europe, Africa, Asia, South America and North America.
