Born in Moscow and now based in the United States, he is also a highly influential educator and currently serves as head of the Piano Department at the Yale School of Music.

Since many years Bonatta performs Mozart Concertos conducting from the piano, which led him to face also the great symphonic repertoire.

Regularly invited as a lecturer and concert commentator, he continues his work as a freelance composer and, since 2023, has been conducting the Camerata da Academia de Música de Lisboa.

James Giles is an American pianist and educator with an active international career, performing regularly at major venues and festivals across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He currently serves as Coordinator of the Piano Program and Director of Graduate Studies at the Bienen School of Music, combining an important teaching role with his concert activity.
