Nuno Inácio

Nuno Inácio is 1st Flutist of the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, teaching at the Lisbon Superior School of Music and the National Superior Orchestra Academy. He was a disciple of the acclaimed Professor Trevor Wye in England for several years.

He has performed as a soloist with the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the Gulbenkian Orchestra, the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, among others, as well as concert appearances in Italy, Germany, France, Spain, England and Denmark. He is considered one of the unavoidable references of the Flute in Portugal, a status that has been affirmed by his presence at the International Flute Conventions of the British Flute Society, the Association of Flutists of Spain and the Association of Flutists of Portugal.

Of the various awards obtained, the 1st Prize in the L´U.F.A.M. International Competition stands out. (Paris, 1999), 1st Prize and Distinction for Young Musician of the Year at PJM da RDP/Antena 2 (2000). He performs regularly with the Moscow Piano Quartet, Ensemble Darcos and Ensemble Mediterrain. He has collaborated with the magazines PAN (UK), DaCapo (Portugal) and Muramatsu (Japan).
